1. Portrait photos from different eras (1940’s, 50’s etc…)
2. Fantasy children photography. Things that we dreamed about doing as a kid
or did do.
3. Light study. You know how I love light! (not sure exactly what this would be)
I’ve decided that I really want to work on my photos of people. As much as I have
tried, I can’t escape photographing people.
Hi Catherine,
Why not combine ideas 1 and 3? You could do portraits of people in clothing from other eras and work with incorporating lighting in (Natural or Artificial)! I think this would build upon your interest in vintage items as well as develop your skills of photographing people. It seems like it could be the best of both worlds. Thanks Catherine!

Catherine,
I absolutely love the idea to do the series of photos from different eras. I am fascinated by the look of old pictures and I think it would be awesome if you recreated them in your photographs! I think what Josh suggested sounds like a good idea as well, to combine two of your ideas.

Catherine,
I really like your idea of photographing people of different eras, I think it would be a great series and I agree with josh that you could combine ideas 1 and 3, since you already love lighting but do not feel as comfortable with people it might be a good balance! Good Luck!
Sarah
With your knowledge of vintage style and your desire to increase your skill in portrait and light photography, you could bring in some beautiful portraits. If you wanted, you could also bring in some of the style of portrait photography used in the 40s and 50s, such as props, poses, backdrops.
