Rebirth
My first idea is to create a series of photos based around the idea of rebirth. A certain event can have an impact on someone that forces them to start over new, and change for the better. I’d like to show photographs where someone is undergoing a rebirth, changing and starting over.
Real Life Disney
Another idea I have is to re-explore a set of photos I created in the past, where I inserted myself into popular Disney movies. I have had a lot more experience since I first created those photos, and I would like to create more that can be more refined and detailed than my older ones.
Grown Ups
The last idea I have is to take common things that kids want to be when they grow up and show them doing things that adults do every day- things such as superheroes grocery shopping and princesses going through a fast food drive through.

All three ideas are very interesting! I am particularly drawn to your 3rd idea however. I think you had me with the “princess going through a fast food drive through.” I think the narrative aspect of a series like this could be very strong! It also builds upon the type of work you have done in the past, the “Dreams” series you did last semester. Looking forward to seeing what direction you take!

Love the grown ups idea. I too have had a similar idea. Ever seen the video for the song Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros? I LOVE it and have often thought of recreating it. Watch it!
With your creativity, you could do any of the three and have something that would be delightful! The Disney idea is the one that appealed to me the most. I know where you can get a couple of costumes. (Yes, I made them.)
I also have another idea that is to recreate classic fairytale stories, like Red Riding Hood, Little Miss Muffet and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. I also had the idea that I could constrain myself solely to the Brothers Grimm stories. I’d love feedback if anyone has any ideas!
